Hezbollah fired more than fifty projectiles at settlements in northern Israel

(Patria) - Armed formations of the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah launched a massive rocket attack on Israeli settlements in Upper Galilee, reported TV channel Al Mayadeen, TASS reports.

According to him, Shiite fighters fired more than fifty rockets from multiple rocket launchers. Air raid sirens sounded in fifteen Israeli settlements.

Israeli air defense repelled the rocket attack, the TV channel states. The rockets allegedly hit the settlements of Beit Hillel, Kiryat Shmona, and Misgav Am. Fires were recorded in several locations.

Hezbollah's military information service announced on its Telegram channel that the group's units carried out the first attack on the settlement of Beit Hillel since the escalation of tensions on the Lebanese-Israeli border.

"The operation was carried out in response to the deaths of civilians in southern Lebanon during Israeli raids and shelling," the statement said.

On August 3, the Hezbollah movement launched rocket attacks on Israeli settlements in western Galilee.
