(Patria) - Lebanese Hezbollah announced on Sunday that it fired Katyusha rockets and drones at Israel following attacks for which the Israeli army said targeted Hezbollah's weapons depots. Six people were injured in an Israeli attack overnight, according to the Lebanese national news agency.
In retaliation, the Iran-backed Hezbollah said in separate statements on Sunday that it targeted two Israeli military positions in northern Israel with rockets and drones, AFP reported.
In an earlier statement, they stated that its fighters hit the Dafne area with Katyusha rockets "in response to the attacks by the Israeli enemy targeting civilians in the town of Adloun, injuring several of them".
The Israeli army announced that its air forces "on the night of Saturday to Sunday attacked two Hezbollah weapons depots in southern Lebanon, which contained rockets and additional weapons".
Hezbollah also said on Sunday that three of its fighters were killed in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese army also reported that two of its soldiers were injured on Sunday when Israeli fire hit a border post in the south of the country.
