Helicopters of the Armed Forces of BiH Extinguish Fire in the Gornji Vakuf – Uskoplje Area

(Patria) - Helicopters of the 2nd Helicopter Squadron of the Air Force and Air Defence Brigade of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been extinguishing a fire in the Gornji Vakuf – Uskoplje area for the third consecutive day, since 30 October.

During the execution of this task, over the past three days, 8.3 flight hours were completed, and 32 buckets of water were discharged, corresponding to a weight of 32 tonnes. The extinguishing operation is expected to continue tomorrow,
depending on the situation during the night.

With this engagement, members of the Air Force and Air Defence Brigade demonstrate readiness to carry out one of their core missions, which is to assist civilian government structures in cases of natural and other
disasters throughout the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
