AF BiH Helicopter Extinguishes Fire in Trebinje Municipality

Upon the request of the Civil Protection Service on September 1, 2017, in the early morning hours, the Armed Forces of BiH from the Air Force and Anti-Aircraft Defense Brigade dispatched one Mi-8 MTV helicopter and six members to provide assistance in extinguishing the fire in the municipality of Trebinje.

The AF BiH helicopter, operating in the areas of Trebinje and Drvar municipalities on August 31, completed six hours of flight, during which 39 buckets of water (101,400 liters) were dropped.

Since the beginning of the summer season, the Armed Forces have shown readiness to engage in providing assistance to the civilian population and authorities upon the request of civil authorities and within available capacities.
