(Patria) - The U.S. military killed two men in a raid on a suspected drug smuggling vessel in international waters in the eastern Pacific on Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said, Reuters reported this morning.
"Intelligence confirmed the vessel was involved in illicit narcotics smuggling, transiting along a known drug smuggling route and carrying narcotics," Hegseth said in a post on social media platform X.
Hegseth's post included an eighteen-second video clip showing the vessel in the water being struck and exploding.
