HDZ and Čović in a Hurry: Calling on the BiH Council of Ministers to Adopt the Draft Budget for 2022

(Patria) - After the Draft Budget was submitted by the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH on Friday, May 27, 2022, the legal norm in the budget adoption process of BiH was met, thus fulfilling the conditions for further procedures, stated HDZ BiH today, whose minister Vjekoslav Bevanda initiated the Draft Budget procedure.

"The Croatian Democratic Union of BiH calls on the Council of Ministers to urgently adopt it in order to create prerequisites for the accelerated adoption of the budget. As in the previous period, we continue to be leaders of the policy of the rule of law and a legal state in all processes that are important for Bosnia and Herzegovina," stated HDZ BiH.

We remind you that the Central Election Commission of BiH announced the General Elections on May 4, and the deadline for securing financial resources was May 19. Due to voting against twice by ministers from HDZ, the Council of Ministers of BiH could not adopt the Decision on allocating 12.5 million KM from accumulated funds for the CEC to carry out necessary activities.

If the Council of Ministers of BiH adopts the Draft Budget this week, it will proceed to the BiH Presidency, which will then send it for adoption to the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
