Hatić sentenced to four and a half years in prison for extortion

Mirza Hatić was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for extortion.

The Municipal Court in Sarajevo also convicted Hatić for committing the crime of theft as the organizer of a group, and the crime of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and ammunition, Patria reports.

Hatić, along with several other individuals, was charged in early May last year with racketeering against the representative of the Austrian company Swietelsky, Mirza Dadić, as well as other persons. They were arrested at the Hotel Bosnia in an operation by the FUP.

For the defendants in the same case: Hilmija Garibović, Lejla Hatić, Kemal Trle, Nihad Škoro, Mirela Hatić, and Vanesa Cigić, the trial is ongoing before the Municipal Court in Sarajevo.
