Hasečić: We Will Sue Ivanović for Insulting Raped Bosniak Women!

Bakira Hasečić, president of the Association „Woman – victim of war“ sharply criticized the statement of Serbian host Ivan Ivanović who mocked raped Bosniak women during the Serbian aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1995 in Srebrenica, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

In the show "Evening with Ivan Ivanović" which was broadcast on Sunday on Banja Luka's Alternativna televizija, the host said that „since 1995 the number of Bosnian women giving birth before the age of 15 has increased, and later they say that the Blue Helmets did nothing there“, alluding to the presence of UN forces in BiH during the aggression against BiH.

Hasečić said that Ivanović very consciously mentioned the Blue Helmets, whose members had previously been accused of raping Bosniak women.

- One of the well-known examples is the infamous camp „Kod Sonje“ in Vogošća, which, according to the claims of raped Bosniak women, was also visited by the first man of the UN Peacekeeping Forces for BiH, General Luis Mekenzi, together with the RS army, who raped and killed Bosniak women – said Hasečić.

Ivanović, warned the president of „Woman – victim of war“ also on her Facebook profile, insulted with this sentence more than 25,000 women who were brutally raped during the aggression against BiH.

From the Association "Woman - victim of war" they demanded an apology from Ivanović and are announcing a lawsuit, reports Patria.
