Hasančević: "Mića" killed Bosniaks on Belgrade's orders

Aljo Hasančević, president of camp inmates from Grepska near Doboj, told the BiH news agency Patria (NAP) that he is happy that the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today arrested 13 people, who are directly linked to crimes committed during the Serbian aggression against BiH.

It is particularly important, Hasančević said, that the majority of those arrested were members of the infamous "Mića" group, which committed the greatest crimes in the areas of Doboj, Modriča, Teslić, Derventa...

The group was founded by the president of the SDS Doboj branch, Milovan Ninković Miće. It consisted of about 30 volunteers, who immediately at the beginning of the aggression began to burn, loot, and kill non-Serb residents, and they distinguished themselves in the crimes committed against Bosniaks and Croats until the end of the aggression.

SIPA members today arrested 13 people, including Andrija Bjelošević, former head of the police in the Doboj region, and his assistant Milan Savić. Among those arrested are Dušan Kuzmanović, Predrag Markočević, and Marinko Đukić. Also arrested were Dobrivoj Ćulibrk, Dario Slavuljica, Saša Gavranović, Predrag Subotić, Vitomir Dević... Most of them are linked to the criminal formation "Mića".

- There were several such groups that killed and burned in Doboj and surrounding areas. According to the information we have, they all operated as part of the then State Security of Serbia, under the direct control of the infamous Red Berets - recalls Hasančević.

In April 1992, he was captured in Bosanski Šamac by another group of criminals, the so-called "Sivi vukovi" (Grey Wolves), who operated on the same principle as the criminal group "Mića". He was exchanged 14 months later.

- These units consisted of former prisoners, robbers, murderers who were engaged at the beginning of the aggression against BiH to kill and rob Bosniaks. They did whatever they wanted. When they returned from the front lines, they would stop by camps in Doboj and other places and take out Bosniaks, whom they beat and killed - says Hasančević.

- They rarely killed immediately. First, they would torment them to the point where people would die in agony, and those who survived, when they recovered a little, they would take them out again and beat them or kill them in the most brutal way - adds Hasančević.

In the area of Grapska alone, he says, 400 people passed through the camps, more than 100 were killed, and the bones of many of them have not yet been found.
