Harris and Trump in a Tight Race in Swing States, NYT/Siena Poll Shows

(Patria) - Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump are still in a tight race in seven states two days before the presidential election in the United States, the latest poll by the New York Times/Siena College showed.

The public opinion survey showed that Vice President Harris has marginal leads in the states of Nevada, North Carolina, and Wisconsin, while former President Trump leads in the state of Arizona.

The two candidates are in a tight race in the states of Michigan, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, according to the poll, which surveyed 7,879 likely voters in seven states from October 24 to November 2, Reuters reported.

In all seven states, the margins were within the 3.5% margin of error.

About 40% of respondents had already voted, and Harris led among those voters by eight percentage points, while Trump leads among voters who say they are very likely to vote but have not yet done so, the survey showed.

The tight race in Pennsylvania shows Trump gaining momentum in a state where Harris led by four percentage points in all previous New York Times polls, the newspaper stated.

Both candidates campaigned in so-called "swing states" over the weekend.
Former President Trump opted for rallies in the states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia, while the current Vice President campaigned in the state of Michigan.
