ARREST IN ZAVIDOVIĆI Weapons, drugs, ammunition found, two people arrested

(Patria) - On 06/30/2020, police officers of the Federal Police Administration, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Zenica-Doboj Canton, and with the engagement of the Special Police Unit of the FUP, began activities on the implementation of the operational-tactical operation codenamed "Skank", related to the documentation of persons and criminal offenses of "Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs" under Article 238, paragraph 1, and "Illegal Possession of Weapons or Explosives" under Article 371, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As part of the aforementioned activities, and based on the Order of the Municipal Court in Zavidovići, searches of several facilities and vehicles in the area of Zavidovići were carried out, and two individuals from Zavidovići with initials H.E. (1994) and H.S. (1973) were deprived of their liberty due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of committing the aforementioned criminal offenses.

During the search, a larger quantity of ammunition (various calibers), weapons (M70 automatic rifle), three magazines for it, explosive devices (two bodies of M93 hand grenades, with two fuses), and a homemade improvised laboratory with equipment for growing Cannabis sativa L narcotic drug were found, where a plantation was discovered.

Simultaneously, during the search, a green substance was found that, by its characteristics, resembles the narcotic drug Cannabis, as well as a certain amount of white powdery substance, which, by its preliminary characteristics, resembles the narcotic drug "Amphetamine". The persons deprived of their liberty will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Zenica-Doboj Canton within the legal deadline, along with a Report on the committed criminal offenses, after criminal processing.
