Drug Trafficking Arrests

(Patria) - Police officers of the Federal Police Administration, in joint activities with members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, and under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton and the District Prosecutor's Office of East Sarajevo, arrested one individual with initials M.O. (1965) in the municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo, in connection with the criminal offense of "Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs" under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The individual is known to law enforcement for similar criminal offenses.

"As part of the aforementioned activities, and by order of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, a search of the suspect's vehicle and apartment was conducted, during which approximately 15 grams of an unknown substance resembling the narcotic drug 'Cocaine', approximately 200 grams of an unknown substance resembling the narcotic drug 'Amphetamine', approximately 600 grams of an unknown substance resembling the narcotic drug 'Cannabis Sativa L', 99 tablets resembling the narcotic drug 'Ecstasy', a precision scale, and other items originating from or related to the criminal offense in question were found and seized.

The arrested individual was processed at the official premises of the Federal Police Administration and, within the legal deadline, was handed over with a report on the committed criminal offense to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton for further jurisdiction," the FUP announced.
