(Patria) - The Palestinian militant group Hamas has published details of the agreement it reached with Israel.
"After several days of negotiations, we announce, with the help and guidance of Almighty Allah, the achievement of an agreement on a humanitarian truce (temporary ceasefire) lasting four days.
This result is a confirmation of the persistent and commendable efforts of Qatar and Egypt," Hamas stated.
They then listed the following terms of the agreement:
- a ceasefire across Gaza;
- increased entry of trucks carrying humanitarian and medical aid, as well as fuel, to all parts of the Gaza Strip;
- the release of 50 hostages, Israeli women and children under the age of 19, in exchange for the release of 150 Palestinian women and children from Israeli prisons;
- no Israeli air traffic over southern Gaza for four days;
- Israelis have no air traffic over northern Gaza for six hours daily, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.;
- freedom of movement for civilians, especially along Salah al-Din Road.
"The terms of this agreement were formulated with a vision to serve our people and strengthen their steadfastness in facing aggression, always keeping in mind the victims, suffering and concerns," Hamas said.
