SARAJevo, (Patria) - Regarding the measures contained in the 'corona' law, we can say that it is a step we must take, since we did not take it 10 or more days ago, said Muamer Halilbašić, Director of the Economic Institute, at a press conference in Sarajevo.
"When we talk about entities whose activities are banned, the effects will not be achieved to the extent expected, except in the situation where lower levels of government, especially cantons, get involved much more seriously. I appeal to the cantons to complete the budget rebalances for this year as soon as possible, and for these to be serious rebalances, and for them to be supplements to the FBiH measures," adds Halilbašić.
He notes that local communities should not be forgotten either, which have a capacity of almost one billion KM and where more than 100 million KM could be released through the regulation of repurposing certain funds.
"We must all get involved to the maximum in order to have effects. I fully support the requests to expand the criteria. This way, we would include a larger number of entities that need help. I further appeal to public sector employees to show much more solidarity towards the private sector and to find room for maximum savings, so that we do not emerge from the crisis with accumulated debts, which would lead us into problems," emphasized Halilbašić.
