Hadžiomerović for NAP: Referendum on BiH Court and Prosecutor's Office leads to RS secession

Delegate from the Bosniak people in the Council of Peoples of Republika Srpska Mujo Hadžiomerović stated that today's adoption of the decision to call a referendum on the work of the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH in the National Assembly of RS is another step towards the secession of RS from BiH and that the world must stop it.

In a statement to the news agency Patria , Hadžiomerović said that the authorities in RS are aligning entity laws with the laws of Serbia, instead of doing so in cooperation with the Federation of BiH, which is certainly leading to the secession of RS.

- The authorities in RS are gradually aligning laws with the laws of Serbia. We had this case before, and now again, when it comes to the Prosecutor's Office and the Court of BiH. Although the work of the Prosecutor's Office and the Court of BiH is regulated by law at the state level, the authorities in RS want to adopt it at the entity level as well, which is completely unnecessary and indicates nothing else but that they are preparing for secession from BiH, which is unacceptable – said Hadžiomerović.

The National Assembly of Republika Srpska adopted the decision to call a referendum on the work of the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH, after a two-day session.

45 deputies voted for the decision, while 31 deputies abstained.

According to the agenda, the referendum should be held within a period of six months.

The referendum question will read: "Do you support the unconstitutional and unauthorized imposition of laws by the High Representative of the international community in BiH, especially the imposed laws on the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH and the application of their decisions in the territory of Republika Srpska?"

Representatives of the Serb people stated today that the decisions of the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH are biased and directed against the Serb population, and that is why they want to call a referendum to transfer the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office and the Court of BiH to Republika Srpska.

The President of RS, Milorad Dodik, said that the system directed against Serbs was imposed by the High Representative, but also that the Prosecutor's Office and Courts are under the influence of the Party of Democratic Action, and that is why he wants to transfer the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office and the Court of BiH to the entity.

Finally, he called on citizens living in RS to sue the High Representatives in their home countries, announcing that RS will even provide funds from the budget to provide legal assistance to all those harmed by the High Representatives.

Hadžiomerović warns that the Peace Implementation Council must react urgently and stop the implementation of Dodik's intention, writes NAP.
