Hadžimehanović: New profit tax law will ease burden on employers

The draft of the new profit tax law, discussed at yesterday's session of the Federal Government, brings many reliefs for employers, confirmed for the BH News Agency Patria (NAP), Hajrudin Hadžimehanović, Assistant Minister in the Sector for Tax Policy and Public Revenues at the FBiH Ministry of Finance. 

The tax rate, Hadžimehanović said, will remain 10 percent, but the novelties relate to certain benefits that employers will have when creating new jobs. The method of controlling taxpayers will be simplified, the preparation of the tax balance sheet is more clearly defined, as well as many other novelties.

- We do not expect an increase in revenue from tax collection. It will still amount to between 160 and 170 million marks annually, but tax collection and control will be simplified – Hadžimehanović told NAP.

The new draft law on profit tax was drafted by experts from the Ministry of Finance in cooperation with IMF representatives, and the application of this law should begin on January 1st of next year.
