SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Economist and professor at SSST Faruk Hadžić called on the Council of Ministers and the BiH Parliament to convene an urgent session and most urgently suspend the collection of excise taxes on fuel.
"Additionally, consider the abolition of VAT collection on fuel due to announcements of a significant jump in fuel prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Governments should urgently form crisis headquarters that will monitor the daily increase in energy prices and have measures prepared for different scenarios. Inflation must be stopped on time," warns Hadžić.
He also explained the price of a litre of diesel at 2.76 KM, and how much the state takes from it: VAT – 0.40 KM, Excise tax 0.30 KM, Road toll for road construction 0.20 KM, Road toll for highway construction 0.20 KM, which totals 1.10 KM.
