Hadžibajrić and Karišik Accused of Organizing Criminal Group

(Patria) - As part of the operation codenamed 'Start', under the supervision of the acting prosecutors of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS yesterday arrested Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, Elmedin Karišik, Seid Hadžibajrić, and Alma Destanović.

The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office accuses them of the criminal offenses of organized crime, abuse of position or authority, money laundering, and receiving and giving bribes.

They are suspected of having organized and led a criminal group from 2019 to May 2023, with Ibrahim Hadžibajrić and Elmedin Karišik as leaders, and Alma Destanović, Seid Hadžibajrić, and other individuals as members.

Some members of the group communicated with each other via the installed SKY application to conceal traces and ultimately agree on the commission of criminal offenses.

Therefore, they are accused of illegally leasing parking spaces in the Old Town Municipality area to at least three companies over which they had control, illegally earning more than several hundred thousand convertible marks.

The suspect Hadžibajrić is additionally charged with illegally assigning real estate to an individual from the Old Town area, from whom he received a bribe of 150,000 KM. The questioning of the suspects is currently underway at the premises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS.
