(Patria) - North Korea will never give up its nuclear program, stated the country's Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Son Gyong.
Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, Gyong assessed that this is equivalent to demanding that North Korea renounce its sovereignty and right to exist.
- Imposing 'denuclearization' on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) is equivalent to demanding that it renounce its sovereignty and right to exist and constitutes a violation of the Constitution - Gyong said, Reuters reports.
He emphasizes that Pyongyang will never give up its sovereignty, nor renounce its right to exist.
- Thanks to the enhanced physical war deterrence of our state, which is in direct proportion to the growing threat of aggression from the USA and its allies, the will of hostile states to provoke war is completely curbed, and the balance of power on the Korean Peninsula is secured - Gyong asserted.
He stressed that North Korea will never give up its nuclear weapons, which are part of its state law, national policy, and sovereign right, as well as the right to exist.
- Under no circumstances will we deviate from this stance - Gyong added.
