Governors of the Central Banks of BiH and Montenegro discuss financial market conditions

Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBiH) Senad Softić today received in Sarajevo the Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro Milojica Dakić for an official visit, the CBBiH announced, as reported by the Patria news agency.

The two governors discussed the activities and operations of central banks and exchanged information from the recent spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, held last week in Washington.

Furthermore, the governors discussed the situation on financial markets in the context of central bank operations and investing foreign exchange reserves under complex investment conditions, given the trend of negative interest rates.

Governor Softić informed Governor Dakić about the activities that the new management structure of the CBBiH is undertaking to improve the operations and organization of the CBBiH, as well as the current situation in the financial and banking sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Governor Dakić invited Governor Softić to attend the Summit of Governors and Finance Ministers of the region, which will be held in early June in Miločer, the statement said.
