The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced that one of its ambulances was hit by a "projectile fired by Israeli forces" just a few meters from the entrance to the hospital in Gaza City, in an attack that killed 15 people and wounded more than 60 others.
- I am horrified by the reported attack in Gaza on an aid convoy in front of Al Shifa hospital. The images of bodies scattered on the street in front of the hospital are harrowing - stated Antonio Guterres in a statement.
An AFP journalist at the scene of the attack on Friday saw several bodies next to a damaged ambulance in front of the hospital, which is full of civilians seeking shelter from Israeli bombing, as well as the wounded.
