Green Art starts workshops for making a Bosnian carpet from bottle caps, 45 square meters in size

The ecological association Green Art is starting workshops where participants will make boards from plastic bottle caps, which will be used to create a large Bosnian carpet measuring 15x3 meters, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

As Alma Hrasnica, president of Green Art, reveals, five workshops will be held, and the first one is with members of KUD Baščaršija on November 19, 2015.

- A total of five workshops will be held, the second one will be with members of the Mjedenica Institute, the third with scouts of OI Igman '92. We will complete the entire project by the end of the year – said Hrasnica.

Before starting this project, the Green Art association organized a campaign to collect plastic bottle caps, and numerous schools, institutions, and citizens made donations. Colorful caps arrived from all sides, and the creation of this Bosnian carpet, 45 square meters in size, requires a lot of work, but Hrasnica is sure that with the help of volunteers, they will succeed in completing the project.

- We are a bit short on black caps, so if anyone has any extra, they can bring them to the Green Art Association – says Hrasnica.

The entire final production of the unique carpet made from bottle caps will be held at Unitic.
