Border crossing: Mercedes driver fled from police, when caught they found marijuana

The driver of a Mercedes with BiH license plates attempted to flee during a border check conducted by members of the Support and Control Unit of the Western Field Office of the Border Police of BiH in the border zone of the municipality of Posušje, Patria reports.

I.P. drove away from the stopping point, after which police officers caught up with him and conducted a check. A search of the vehicle revealed 70 grams of marijuana, which I.P. stated was for personal use.

Against this 32-year-old citizen of BiH, a report will be submitted to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the West Herzegovina Canton for the criminal offense of possession and enabling the use of narcotic drugs. The marijuana was temporarily confiscated, the Border Police of BiH announced.
