(Patria) - Igor Božović from Mostar, a BHRT journalist, was attacked last night in front of his home. According to him, he was attacked by neighbors, a border policeman and his wife, after a brief argument, and inflicted injuries of an undetermined degree for now.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton was informed about everything, and its members responded to Božović's call and went to the scene.
The MUP of HNK confirmed that a patrol from the Mostar Centar Police Station found the complainant at the scene, who stated that he was walking his two dogs through the settlement, and at one point a stray dog appeared and started barking at his dogs. Then M.P. and his wife R.P. approached him, and M.P. started cursing him for bringing stray dogs, after which he hit the complainant multiple times in the head and legs, with his wife also assisting him.
"The reason was neither journalism nor politics, but stray dogs. Simply, I don't think a person who beats up any other person for no reason should work at the BiH Border Police," Božović stated in a social media post.
All necessary measures have been taken in this case, the MUP of HNK stated.
