Border Police and Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH: Preventing Illegal Border Crossings and Smuggling of Goods

A delegation of the Border Police of BiH, led by Director Zoran Galić, visited the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH in Banja Luka today, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Special attention was paid to planning future joint activities of the two institutions, both at border crossings and in the so-called 'green border' zone. Specifically, discussions were held on future working methods and preventing any illegal crossings of the state border and smuggling of various goods.

The meeting was led by ITA Director Miro Džakula and BP Director Zoran Galić. In addition to planned future activities, today's discussions also included a review of the situation at border crossings in BiH, especially those where officials from the Indirect Taxation Authority and the Border Police of BiH are jointly present.

The Border Police of BiH were presented with projects for the reconstruction of existing and construction of new border crossings in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
