Border Police of BiH on the Sky Data Scandal: The Prosecutor's Office of BiH is Conducting an Investigation, and We Are Conducting an Internal One

(Patria) - The Border Police of BiH today issued a press release stating that the Border Police of BiH consistently and continuously fights against crime and corruption. 

"Regarding media reports that the Central Investigation Office of the Border Police of BiH is 'shaken by a scandal due to Sky investigations,' we hereby inform the public that the Border Police of BiH consistently and continuously fights against crime and corruption within its own ranks, and anyone who acts unlawfully will be prosecuted and sanctioned. This case falls under the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, and the Office for Professional Standards and Internal Control of the Border Police of BiH is conducting an internal investigation," state the Border Police of BiH, without clarifying which case or which officer or officers are involved. 

Dnevni avaz reported that a scandal is shaking the Central Investigation Office of this police agency, which is the backbone of the Border Police of BiH. 

Due to all this, Spomenka Markulj, the head of BiH's Europol and contact person with this international police agency, was dismissed on Friday. Markulj was also the head of the investigation office and, by decision of Director Zoran Galić, was transferred to another position. 

An internal investigation has been launched against her in the Border Police, because, among other things, she refused to act on an order from the head of this Office.

Namely, "Avaz" learns that Markulj is under investigation because she requested from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to change the team working on the Sky codes that the Border Police of BiH received on January 11 this year.

She demanded that the prosecutor be replaced and a new one assigned, while her investigators, who are now heavily compromised, remain on the team.

However, it is believed that certain individuals wanted to buy time in this way because they had listed Sky codes and communications with specific criminal individuals.

To make matters worse, two investigators from Markulj's team, E. H. and S. K. (identities known to "Avaz"), were discovered on the Sky application.

And not only them, but also high-ranking employees of SIPA and members of the MUP RS. Because of this, time was being bought for days.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH has also been informed about everything, because E. H., when he realized he would be discovered, made an official note that his name was mentioned in the Sky codes.
