Border Police of BiH: New cadets are received by commission members suspected of bribery and corruption

The Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced a competition on December 21 for the admission of one hundred new police officers. The competition is open for 30 days from the date of announcement. It concerns the VIII-1 class of cadets who will be admitted to the ranks of the Border Police of BiH, after training.

A high-ranking employee of the BiH Border Police explains to Patria that it is shocking that the commission for the admission of new cadets to the BiH Border Police again includes Predrag Radojčić, as president of the commission, and Robert Perić, as a member of the commission. These are compromised employees of the BiH Border Police.

Radojčić and Perić were also on the commission for the admission of 120 cadets of the VII class of the BiH Border Police, from August 2015. At that time, according to the claims of high-ranking employees of this institution, the competition was almost entirely rigged. Admission to the BiH Border Police was paid for between 10,000 and 15,000 KM. All of this was described in an anonymous four-page report and forwarded to the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

At that time, Almir Bašić was also on the commission with Radojčić and Perić. This time, he was not appointed to the commission. In his place, Amra Aljić was appointed. Two members from the Ministry of Security of BiH were also appointed to the commission for the admission of cadets of the VIII-1 class.

The director of the BiH Border Police himself, Zoran Galić, requested in media appearances that the BiH Prosecutor's Office investigate the circumstances of the admission of cadets to the BiH Border Police from 2015, but a little more than a year after the affair, Galić again gives consent for Radojčić and Perić to sit on the commission for the admission of cadets to the BiH Border Police.
