Gram: The decision on the bankruptcy of BH Airlines does not depend on HETA

Regarding the statement by the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, on the decision on the bankruptcy of the national airline BH Airlines, the general director of the asset and claims management company HETA ASSET RESOLUTION BiH Manfred Gram clarifies that the decision on bankruptcy does not depend on this company, reports the Patria News Agency.

- BH Airlines is owned by the Government of the Federation of BiH, and as such, the Government of the FBiH makes decisions on the steps that need to be taken in order to fulfill existing contractual obligations, which should avoid bankruptcy. That would be the ultimate, most unfavorable, and last option for any state-owned company - Gram said.

The management of HETA and BH Airlines companies have been working intensively and have invested a lot of effort in preparing various options for possible restructuring concepts, which the Government of the FBiH was supposed to consider.

- If the Government of the FBiH decides not to accept any of the several offered options, and when it realizes that it has exhausted all possibilities at its disposal to find a solution for BH Airlines, and accordingly cannot take responsibility for contractual obligations, we expect to be officially informed in writing - Gram added.

Gram denied allegations that the Government of the FBiH offered to pay about 80 percent of BH Airlines' current debt.

- For the sake of protecting the integrity of the company HETA, I must emphasize that we have not received such an offer - Gram emphasizes.

The management of the asset and claims management company HETA ASSET RESOLUTION remains committed to finding an optimal solution for the benefit of all stakeholders.
