Sarajevo Mayor Visited Police, Firefighters, and Emergency Services on New Year's Eve

SARAJevo, (Patria) – In the final hours of 2018, Sarajevo Mayor Abdulah Skaka visited the city's on-duty services responsible for the safety and health of citizens and guests of the Bosnian capital.

Accompanied by his associates, Skaka visited the Professional Fire Brigade of Sarajevo Canton, followed by the medical and healthcare personnel of the KS Emergency Medical Service Institute. The Mayor was welcomed by the commander of the Professional Fire Brigade, Mirsad Spahić, and the director of the Emergency Medical Service Institute, Dr. Adem Zalihić.

In the company of the Cantonal Minister of Internal Affairs, Admir Katica, and the KS Police Commissioner, Mevludin Halilović, the Mayor also visited the traffic police administration of the KS Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the First Police Administration.

"I wished everyone as little work as possible on New Year's Eve, and also in the coming year 2019, but that they be ready and equipped whenever needed," said Skaka.

"I wanted to visit, on this night, the people who, while we are all celebrating and rejoicing together, are watching over our safety and health. Their mission and role are special, and they deserve our special attention," added the Mayor of Sarajevo.
