Citizens Pay Them to Work: Instead of at Work, SBB Ministers Spend Hours in Court During Working Hours

From the beginning of the trial of SBB leader Fahrudin Radončić and others before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, public interest in this case has not waned. Members of the Alliance for a Better Future (SBB) are closely following the proceedings of the trial of their party leader and do not miss almost any hearing, writes the Patria news agency.

Among them, the most regular attendees in the front rows are the ministers of this party, although at that time they should be at their workplaces, for which they are paid by the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, not the party.

Hearings in this case are most often held between 1 PM and 4 PM, i.e., during working hours. Thus, for example, at today's hearing, which lasted three hours, a session of the KS Government or the FBiH Government could have almost been held.

From the KS Government, the Minister of Health of KS Zilha Ademaj and the Minister of Culture and Sports of KS Mirvad Kurić were present, while from the FBiH level, the Minister of Environment and Tourism Edita Đapo and the Minister of Labour and Social Policy Vesko Drljača were present. Đapo and Drljača follow almost every hearing of their party leader, only not attending if they happen to be traveling outside of Sarajevo.  

Earlier, the Minister of Transport and Communications of BiH Ismir Jusko and the Minister of Internal Affairs of KS Vedran Mulabdić attended the trial.

None of them have publicly stated whether they take unpaid leave for their absence from work or if their support for their party leader counts towards their service record.

Minister Đapo is the most regular attendee at the Court of BiH, and often greets reporters after leaving with the words: "Are you tired?". With a slight rustle, her journalist colleagues often retort, "You certainly aren't, because you haven't been at work for three hours.".

It is hard to believe that these ministers do not have other obligations during this difficult economic situation and the implementation of reforms on BiH's path, so they spend their time at the Court of BiH.

The ministers could certainly take an example from their party leader, who, in the interest of the state, asked the Court of BiH today to postpone the hearing when a session of the House of Peoples of BiH was also scheduled for August 31, explaining to the Court that his vote represents 20 percent of Bosniak votes...

The court logically granted this request, because personal interests should cease to be important to everyone in this country. For what reason other than their own do the SBB ministers attend court, as no decisions are made in the courtroom that fall within the scope of their duties and jobs.  

The boss certainly won't mind if he doesn't see them in court, but he will, after all, as citizens are largely complaining, if they don't do their job. Just as he demonstrated to them today with his request for a postponement of the hearing due to an important session of the House of Peoples.
