SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The City of Sarajevo, with a donation of 10,000 convertible marks, has assisted in the renovation of the kitchen for the Public Institution Institute for the Care of Mentally Disabled Children and
Youth Pazarić.
A food donation was also presented, and the continuation of support for the beneficiaries during the winter season was announced, the City Administration reported.
The Mayor of Sarajevo, Abdulah Skaka, visited the beneficiaries of this institution and attended a special New Year's program during which the donation was presented. He emphasized that the City will again this year enable the beneficiaries to enjoy the charms of the Olympic mountains during the winter.
"I believe we can and should all do more to make the stay of these young people easier and enrich their lives. This time we are here to help renovate and improve the kitchen for the users, but we will certainly continue our cooperation and assistance," said Mayor Skaka.
Mevlida Bandić, acting director of this Public Institution, expressed special gratitude to the City of Sarajevo and the Mayor.
"This is a valuable donation. But what particularly makes us happy is that the Mayor came today and that, in a way, he is always here. We have had previous projects, such as winter holidays, which the beneficiaries particularly remember, and we are happy that this will continue. Thank you to the Mayor and the City Administration," added Bandić.
