IT'S OVER Joe Biden is the new US President

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - It's over, Joe Biden is the new US President, and Kamala Harris is Vice President.

This is the result of the race for the 46th President of the USA in which the Democratic candidate defeated the current Republican President Donald Trump.

Pennsylvania turned out to be the key state, in which Biden turned the result after a long and secure lead and, according to CNN data, won the presidential race.

Biden thus crossed the threshold of the required number of electoral votes, which is 270. Also, the Democratic candidate won about four million American votes.

Celebrations began across America following the announcement of Biden's victory.

Also, many world officials congratulated the new president.

Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin and Foreign Minister Simon Coveney were among the first to congratulate.

Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris, and German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas also sent congratulations.

Congratulations from world leaders are yet to be expected.
