(Patria) - Almost 970 ceasefire violations in Gaza by Israel have been reported since October 10, when the ceasefire came into effect, the enclave's authorities announced, TASS reported yesterday.
During this period, Israel violated the ceasefire 969 times, including 455 air and artillery strikes and 298 shelling of civilians and their homes, killing 418 people and wounding more than 1,140.
The enclave's authorities accuse Israel of obstructing humanitarian deliveries to the Gaza Strip, despite existing agreements. Therefore, they claim that the enclave has received only 42% of the humanitarian cargo needed to meet the basic needs of its inhabitants.
People in the Gaza Strip are facing severe shortages of food, medicine, drinking water, and fuel, the authorities announced, adding that the crisis is only worsening amid the winter cold.
The parties to the conflict signed an agreement on October 9 to implement the first phase of US President Donald Trump's ceasefire plan in Gaza. The ceasefire took effect the following day.
