Bosniaks killed in Srebrenica during the 1995 genocide may soon be commemorated by a real forest of 8,372 trees, to be planted on 4.3 hectares of land in the Posestra region of Goražde municipality, reports the BH News Agency Patria.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, the Goražde Mufti, together with the Government of Bosansko-podrinjski Canton Goražde and the Municipality of Goražde, have launched the project "Memorial Forest 8372 Srebrenica", whose trees are intended to remind of the Bosniaks killed during the Serbian aggression on the eastern part of Bosnia, i.e., Srebrenica, where the greatest genocide in Europe after World War II was committed.
The memorial complex would consist of a forest with landscaped paths, reports Patria.
