At least one person has been killed and two are in critical condition after a large construction crane collapsed in downtown New York, Manhattan, on Friday morning, reports the New York Post. It has been learned that one of the workers on the crane died, reports the Patria news agency.
The crane fell onto the street, crushing several cars that were parked along the road. Police and firefighters arrived at the scene immediately and secured the area. It is still unknown whether there are people trapped in the parked cars that the crane fell on.
The reason for the collapse of the crane, which was holding a large wrecking ball, is not yet known, reports Index.
