Deaf people can send SMS messages to the police

Article 25 of the Law on the Use of Sign Language in Sarajevo Canton, in order to provide deaf persons with emergency calls, cantonal bodies and institutions performing emergency services, police, fire fighting, and emergency interventions in the field of public utilities, are obliged to provide and publicly announce appropriate numbers for receiving SMS messages for emergency calls from deaf persons, reports the Patria News Agency.

 

The Operational-Communication Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton has a mobile line, number: 061-482-252, which supports communication with deaf persons, it was announced from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.
