(Patria) - Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi called on the Muslim world to immediately stop Israel's "war machine, crimes, and genocide" against the Palestinian people, Press TV reported.
He spoke by phone with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Saturday.
"Today, the Palestinian nation needs effective global support. The nation particularly needs unity among Muslim countries more than ever, so that the Zionist regime faces an end to its genocidal crimes," said the Iranian president.
The Iranian president said that Israel is committing war crimes in Gaza with the green light given by the Western bloc led by the United States.
The Iranian president called on the global Muslim community to take a decisive and clear stance on the need to support the oppressed Palestinian people. The Qatari Emir said that the developments in Gaza prove the shameful policy of Western countries. Al Thani added that unity among regional and Muslim countries can stop Israel's war machine.
He reiterated Qatar's support for the absolute rights of the Palestinian nation to self-determination and
self-defense and said that Israel has violated all international rules and humanitarian principles.
