Voice of America: Prosecutor Tadić cites moving into a new building as a success of the Prosecutor's Office

(Patria) - Voice of America has produced a short video report in which journalists from that media outlet have shown some of the contradictory statements by the Chief Prosecutor in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gordana Tadić, who was confirmed in that position on Thursday.

 

 

In her exposé presented to the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council commission, Tadić stated: "I don't think (corruption) is a systemic problem. I think we are ready to tackle it."

Journalists from Voice of America compared this statement with that of Senator Roger Wicker. The Senator said: "Ask anyone in Europe and they will tell you that corruption is stealing the wealth and potential in Bosnia and Herzegovina."

WOA's video also shows a report stating that Rwanda, Botswana, and Burkina Faso are less corrupt than BiH.

"Tadić claims she can tackle corruption. But she has already had two years to show her ability," WOA concludes, alluding to the fact that Tadić has been heading the Prosecutor's Office since 2016, and has now been appointed for a new six-year term.
