(Patria) - Hunger is worsening among Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip, humanitarian agencies have stated, as the death toll from Israeli attacks rises.
Most of Gaza's 2.3 million residents have been driven from their homes, and residents say it is impossible to find shelter or food in the densely populated coastal enclave. The UN's World Food Programme said half the population is starving, Reuters reported.
"Hunger accompanies everything," UNRWA, the UN agency responsible for Palestinian refugees, said on X.
Gaza residents say people forced to flee have been dying of hunger and cold, as well as from bombings, describing the looting of aid trucks and incredibly high prices.
The Israeli retaliatory attack has killed 18,205 people and wounded nearly 50,000, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
