G.K. walked the streets of Stolac and threatened citizens with a knife, police do not know if he shouted Allahu Akbar

Forty-three-year-old G.K. walked the streets of Stolac for hours yesterday and threatened people with a knife. Disturbed citizens called the members of the Stolac Police Station, who found the man in a visibly intoxicated state in front of the Rafaelo catering facility and brought him in, confirmed for the Patria news agency from the Operational Center of the HNC Ministry of Interior.

G.K. drove to the town from the Dubrava plateau where he lives, in a Mercedes with German license plates. A breathalyzer test determined that he had 1.6 per mille of alcohol in his blood.

From the Operational Center, they told us that he did not attack or injure anyone, but that citizens were disturbed because he randomly approached them and threatened them with a knife.

When asked whether it is true that he shouted Allahu Akbar while walking the streets and threatening citizens, the duty officer said that he could not confirm that for us because it is not in the report. He also told us that he has no record of having committed any criminal offenses before.  

Last night around 8 p.m., after receiving medical assistance, this 43-year-old was transported to the Psychiatric Department of the Mostar hospital.

The competent prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of HNC was informed about yesterday's incident in Stolac. 

Throughout the time, according to the 24sata.info portal, the man was making inarticulate sounds and using various shouts, from religious shouts of Allahu Akbar to issuing threats to religious officials of the Catholic Church in Stolac and the Islamic Community in this town.

-He went indiscriminately from person to person, from café to café, displaying aggression, brandishing the knife he held in his hands. He stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road in front of a traffic light and then headed towards the police officers, claims an eyewitness.
