Genoveva Ruiz Calavera: We want a more favorable investment environment and greater rule of law in BiH

The work of (Bosnian and Herzegovinian) authorities so far has yielded tangible results, but we should not be fooled, as this is only the beginning. This was stated today in Sarajevo by the Director for the Western Balkans at the General Directorate of the European Commission for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Genoveva Ruiz Calavera, writes Patria.

Genoveva Ruiz Calavera spoke on Monday with the entity prime ministers, as well as with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdić. The main topic of discussion was the European path of BiH and the reforms necessary in BiH for the country to one day become a member of the EU.

- The reform agenda covers a four-year period and is aimed at improving socio-economic conditions for the citizens of BiH, as well as bringing the country closer to EU integration - Ruiz Calavera reminded.

- We want to see a greater focus on reforms in the context of the rule of law and the creation of a favorable environment for investments - she added.

The Head of the EU Delegation and EU Special Representative in BiH, Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, also said that he welcomes the results achieved so far in BiH, but that there is still a lot of work ahead for the authorities of BiH, writes NAP.
