NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is coming on an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina on February 2. This information was confirmed to the Patria News Agency by the Ministry of Defense of BiH.
NATO is expected to decide on the activation of the MAP for our country this year, which Stoltenberg announced during talks with the BiH Presidency member Bakir Izetbegović in Brussels in November last year.
Stoltenberg stressed at the time that NATO is ready to activate the MAP once BiH completes the registration of military property to the state.
The BiH Presidency adopted the Defense Review, a document that addresses reforms in the Armed Forces of BiH, and discussions are expected to include this topic.
Interestingly, on the very day the NATO Secretary General arrives in our country, the investigation report on January 9 will be completed, when during the celebration of the unconstitutional holiday in Banja Luka, the Chairman of the BiH Presidency Mladen Ivanić paraded members of the BiH Armed Forces.
This report should show whether there were abuses and whether the chain of command in the BiH Armed Forces was violated, for which the SDP, DF, and GS filed criminal charges with the BiH Prosecutor's Office.
