General Wilz satisfied with cooperation between NATO Headquarters and the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH

The Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH was visited today by the Commander of NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, Brigadier General Giselle M. Wilz, who met with the Director of the Directorate, Mirsad Vilić, and his deputy Milo Jurić, the DKPT announced, Patria reports.

The reason for her visit to the Directorate was the recently successfully implemented and very demanding operational action to protect the NATO Secretary General during his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina. On that occasion, General Wilz presented letters of appreciation to the police officers of the Directorate who directly participated in the protection of the Secretary General, and thanked them for the exceptionally professionally performed task. General Wilz also thanked the Directorate for the previous cooperation and support in some NATO operations in BiH.

During today's visit, Director Vilić informed the general about the legal competencies of the Directorate, as well as the tasks that the Directorate's officers perform on a daily basis. He also presented future planned activities aimed at building and strengthening the capacities of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH. Director Vilić expressed confidence that the future cooperation between the NATO Headquarters and the Directorate will continue to be successful.
