SARAJevo, (Patria) - BiH Minister of Defence Sifet Podžić received Brigadier General Pamela McGaha, newly appointed Commander of NATO HQ Sarajevo, and her closest associates on a courtesy visit.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Ministers of Defence of BiH Mijo Krešić and Mirko Okolić.
The topics of the meeting included the current state of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of BiH, the challenges facing the defence system, and planned activities for the upcoming period. Minister Podžić praised the cooperation with NATO HQ Sarajevo to date and welcomed the newly appointed commander.
"I have no doubt that we will continue our good cooperation uninterrupted. I wish you success in carrying out your assigned mission, and our doors are always open to you," said Minister Podžić.
General McGaha emphasized the firm commitment of NATO HQ Sarajevo to continue supporting the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of BiH in the further process of defence reform, as well as full support for our commitment to full membership in Euro-Atlantic integration.
Deputy Ministers of Defence of BiH Mijo Krešić and Mirko Okolić also welcomed General McGaha to our country, stating that they expect the continuation of successful cooperation.
