General Brown warns soldiers that China wants to 'exploit' American military knowledge

(Patria) - The highest-ranking officer of the US Air Force, General Charles Brown, has warned military personnel that China is seeking to "exploit" American and NATO military knowledge to improve its armed forces, AFP reported.

The United States says China is its most significant challenge, and maintaining a military advantage helps Washington's efforts to deter Beijing's aggression.

"The People's Liberation Army (PLA) wants to exploit your knowledge and skills to fill gaps in its military capabilities," Brown, who has been nominated to become the top US military officer, wrote in a document addressed to air force personnel.

Foreign companies are targeting and recruiting military talent trained by the United States and NATO in various specialties and fields for PLA training, Brown said.

"Essentially training the trainer, many of those who accept contracts with these foreign companies are compromising our national security, endangering the very safety of their colleagues in service and the country, and may even be breaking the law," he stated.
