Where has the principled leader gone: Radončić without reactions to Novalić and Džindić's violation of the law

The political party founded by Sarajevo media magnate Fahrudin Radončić in 2009 received a solid number of votes in the general elections the following year, and a similar result was repeated in 2014. People were thrilled with the new idea and the message „new faces-new BiH“, writes the Patria news agency.

From then until today, specifically in the past six years, there have been internal party upheavals and attrition. Federal deputies, municipal councilors have left the SBB during their mandates...

Radončić, using his powers as president in accordance with the party's Statute, without any complexes or hesitation, expelled even prominent names from the party ranks, mostly due to violations of the law and non-compliance with party principles.

One-way ticket

Former SBB state representatives Ismeta Dervoz and Adnan Bašić were expelled because they applied for the so-called „white bread“ – receiving a salary from the state treasury for 12 months after leaving the State Parliament.

From the SBB, long-time Mayor of Goražde Municipality Muhamed Ramović was also „kicked out“, because in the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton he negotiated to enter government with the SDA, the party with which the SBB is today in a „firm“ coalition.

Also, Radončić handed a one-way ticket to former cantonal representative in Tuzla Canton Salih Šabović, a private businessman, due to, as explained, debts to the Tax Administration.

Among the first to „fly out“ of the SBB were private businessmen Bedro Hasanović and Mirsad Prohić, for whom it was then explained by this party that they did not comply with legal norms.

It is interesting that the SBB president did not treat state representatives Fehim Škaljić and Mirsad Đonlagić with the same yardstick.

Milder attitude towards Škaljić and Đonlagić

The two of them, namely, received 13,000 KM each in severance pay from the Federal Parliament because they retired, and the next day they established a professional employment relationship in the Parliament of BiH, where today they have a monthly salary of around 5,000 KM.

Of course, because of this, as Škaljić and Đonlagić then explained, “legal possibility to receive severance pay”, Radončić did not have to expel them from the party, but, given that the SBB has always advocated for the abolition of the so-called white bread, he could have at least ordered them to either return the money to the budget or donate it to humanitarian causes.

It should be recalled that while he was Minister of Security of BiH, Radončić gave his entire salary to the Police Officers' Union. If he did that, then he could have asked the same from his deputies Škaljić and Đonlagić, or they could have taken the initiative to follow the example of their party leader.  

Although Patria has already revealed that SBB's Minister of Energy Nermin Džindić has a private company with Federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić, where he is a founder along with the Prime Minister's wife and daughters, Radončić, apart from publicly acknowledging that he knows Džindić and Novalić are friends, has not taken any step to demonstrate his previous consistency in eliminating those who violate the law. 

Given that this is an unprecedented brutal violation of the Law on Conflict of Interest, the silence of the SBB president is indicative.
