Gaza cut off from the world, Israel begins limited ground operation

(Patria) - A Palestinian mobile company announced that its telephone services have been interrupted due to heavy bombing in the Gaza Strip.

"Intense bombing in the last hour has caused the destruction of all remaining international links connecting Gaza to the outside world," announced the company Jawwal.

"Our dear people in our beloved homeland, we regret to announce the complete cessation of all communications and internet services in the Gaza Strip in light of the ongoing aggression," the statement read, adding: "May God protect you and protect our land."

Al-Aqsa's Palestinian correspondent reports that a major attack is underway.

"Israeli tanks are entering Gaza from the east and north. A major battle is now taking place near the fence separating Gaza from Israel".

"Israel has just launched a ground war against Gaza. The outcome will be a humanitarian catastrophe of epic proportions in the years to come," stated Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.

The Israel Defense Forces announced that they are expanding their ground operations and attacking Gaza and its surroundings.

A spokesperson for the Israeli army is telling residents of Gaza City to move south. He says IDF soldiers are on "high alert" along the northern border.
