Gavrankapetanović receives final verdict for return to director position at ZZO KS!

After the Municipal Court issued a non-final verdict in favor of former director of the Health Insurance Institute (ZZO) KS Faris Gavrankapetanović, who sued the Government of KS because it removed him from that position in September 2013, as Patria learns, the Cantonal Court also ruled in favor of Gavrankapetanović, and this is now a final verdict.

Today, as confirmed to Patria from multiple sources, a decision was delivered to the Government of KS and ZZO stating that Gavrankapetanović is returning to the position of director of ZZO.

Such a decision will have a series of consequences, as it will effectively annul all decisions on appointments made after Gavrankapetanović's departure, and will also raise the issue of criminal responsibility of the Government, as well as the current management.

Gavrankapetanović was, incidentally, removed by the Government in the previous term, which, like the current government in KS, was led by SDA. After being removed, the former director of the Institute sought an interim measure through the Court, i.e., to remain director until the court process is completed, but such a request by Gavrankapetanović was rejected twice.

In the meantime, the Government of KS, led by Prime Minister Elmedin Konaković, also removed Kenan Crnkić, about which a court dispute is also ongoing. Currently, the head of ZZO is Samir Turković, who became known to the public for several scandals, from incorrectly printed health booklets, salary increases, to phone bills of 2,000 KM.
