FUP Arrests Three People from Sarajevo, Half a Kilogram of Drugs Found

(Patria) - Police officers of the Federal Police Administration (FUP), Department for Combating Drug Abuse, today, in an operational action codenamed "Hum", under the supervision of the KS Prosecutor's Office, undertook measures and activities within their jurisdiction in the KS area, related to documenting the criminal offense of "Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs" from Article 238 of the Criminal Code of FBiH.

As part of the aforementioned activities, and based on the orders of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, searches of several persons, facilities, and motor vehicles were carried out in the area of the Novo Sarajevo municipality, and three individuals with initials E.S. (1989) from Sarajevo, DŽ.A. (1995) from Sarajevo, and M.K. (1978) from Sarajevo were arrested.

The search of persons, facilities, and motor vehicles was carried out due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of committing the subject criminal offense, and during the search, a certain amount of the narcotic drug "Amphetamine" of approximately 500 gr., a certain amount of "Cannabis", a precision scale, mobile phones, and ammunition were found.

During the search, other items originating from or related to the subject criminal offense were also found.

These individuals are suspected of having illegally procured the narcotic drug "Amphetamine" during 2024 in the Sarajevo Canton area, which they then packaged and prepared for further trafficking to third parties.

The arrested individuals underwent criminal processing in the official premises of the FUP, while one person was detained pending further handover with a report on the committed criminal offense to the acting prosecutor, and the KS Prosecutor's Office will decide on his further status.
