FUP arrests dealer who distributed drugs via postal shipments

(Patria) - Police officers of the Federal Police Administration, Department for Combating Drug Abuse, in cooperation with officers of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BH Post, and the Intelligence-Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, undertook measures and activities within their jurisdiction in the Canton of Sarajevo, related to documenting the criminal offense of "Unauthorized Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs" from Article 195 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As part of the aforementioned activities, and based on the Orders of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a search was conducted of the person A.H. (1997) from Sarajevo and a postal shipment. The search of the person and the shipment was carried out due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of committing the aforementioned criminal offense, during which approximately 1051 MDMA Ecstasy tablets and one package of approximately 100 gr. containing the narcotic drug "Amphetamine" – Ice" were found hidden inside the package.

The aforementioned person is suspected of having illegally acquired the narcotic drugs "Amphetamine" Ecstasy and MDMA – Ice in the Canton of Sarajevo during 2024, which they then packaged and prepared for further distribution to third parties. Other items originating from or related to the criminal offense in question were also found during the search.

The arrested person was processed at the official premises of the Federal Police Administration and detained until handed over with a report to the acting prosecutor, and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will decide on their further status.
